ATV OEMs Keep Adding EPS Models
Worcester, MA (May 4, 2016) – EPS models are increasingly becoming regular iterations in ATV manufacturers’ lineups, a Consumer Research Solutions (CRS) study has found. In 2007, EPS standard or optional models only accounted for 0.5 percent of the offerings from nine top ATV OEMs — Arctic Cat, Can-Am, CFMOTO, Honda, Kawasaki, KYMCO, Polaris, Suzuki and Yamaha. Now that number is 48 percent.
As EPS models have become more prevalent, their prices have increased from an average of $7,049 in 2007 to an average of $10,790.45 in 2015, an increase of $3,741.45. However, there has been little increase from 2011-15, as the average MSRP has grown only $688.12 since 2011. In that same time period, the lowest MSRP of an EPS ATV has risen only $500, while the high MSRP has grown $1,750.
